Malai Ghevar

Ghevar is a traditional delicious sweet from Rajasthan and an absolute delight festive sweet. Besides Rajasthan, it is also famous in the adjoining states of Haryana, Delhi, Gujarat, western Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh.

Ghevar is a disc shaped dessert dipped in sugar syrup and topped with mava, paneer or malai.Also Ghevars can be in square or round shape and are either sweetened with syrup or served topped with sweet rabri. Ghevar most popularly made during the month of August or the auspicious month of Shravana or Sawan during the festival of Teej and Raksha Bandhan.
